On the Measuring Instrument Inverse Polynomial Calibration Equations to the Engineers |
M.A. Levchenko, M.M. Levchenko
One aspect of the intern training at technical higher education institutions and their labor activity at expe-rimental subdivisions of scientifi c enterprises long-term observation is expounded. The aspect concerns to the determination of measuring instrument inverse polynomial calibration equations. Proposed is an easy engineering approach for determination of the afore-mentioned equations using the least-squares method. This method is known to be applied by interns to trend line (that is, approximating curve) construction at MS Excel software environment. The comparative results of the proposed approach metrological investi-gations are presented. To extend the approach a computation algorithm for determination of measuring instrument inverse transfer function is offered, which is of interest to practicing metrologists, measuring equipment specialists and experimenters.
Keywords: calibration equation, inverse calibration equation, measuring instrument, polynomial approxi-mation, leastsquares method, inverse transfer function.
